Hi, my name is Joe Walsh.
And I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you more about who I am why it may be advantageous for you to work with me.
2015 marked my 40th year in the mortgage industry.
That's right, I've been at this business now for over 35 years and while I would like to claim I've seen everything, this business never fails to surprise me with its seemingly endless scenarios, possibilities, and personalities.
The mortgage market is continually changing with respect to lenders coming into the market, changes in mortgage regulations, and changes in mortgage offerings.
And while the mortgage market continues to bring greater value to consumers and business owners, there is still a fair bit of complexity to wade through when trying to decide what type of mortgage financing option is the best fit for your needs.
I guess that's largely why I've been at it so long. Its a very interesting business where I get to meet and help a lot of people and make a living in the process.
To give you some background, I started out way back in 1975 as a mortgage agent with a mortgage company providing services to mostly home buyers and builders.
After 16 years, I took a position with a Canadian chartered bank as a mortgage specialist in the area of construction financing.
During my time at the bank, I also got to become a regional manager, looking after a staff of 25 builder specialists.
In 2004, I got involved with The Mortgage Centre and switched over to Dominion Lending in 2011.
Our team works on a wide assortment of mortgage requests including both residential and commercial property financing requirements.
I also deal with a large cross section of lenders, ranging from bank and institutional lenders, to investment funds and private mortgage lenders.
Through all the different roles I've held over my years of working in the mortgage industry, I've really got to understand all the in's and out's of how the business works (both good and bad) and how I can create the most value for my clients.
After all these years, I am still a strong proponent of the mortgage broker industry and believe that as a mortgage broker I can bring considerable value to the clients I work with.
I also serve as a coach and mentor to many mortgage consultants that provide services through our Dominion Lending Franchise.
I'm fortunate to have a great team of mortgage professionals working with me on a day to day basis to meet the needs of all our customers.
